In September of 1987 Beauty and the Beast premiered on CBS television in the US. While not an instant ratings blockbuster, the show gained acceptance and an incredibly loyal cult following that continues today. Linda Hamilton and Ron Perlman went on star in everything from Dante's Peak in Linda's case, to Jeunet and Caro's The City of Lost Children, which features Perlman in a lead role. Perlman is always happy to sign photos for diehard B&B fans, even when he's publicizing his other works (in this case for Columbia Tristar at a VSDA convention)!
Republic Pictures released the entire first season to Home Video. Look through our original list including synopses, or search our MonsterBase for the most current two-packs and gift sets. Lately the label has undergone some restructuring, and future releases are temporarily on hold. However we will post here with any second season announcements!
