School Supplies 4 Students Project
For a long time we've seen online
businesses raise money for charities. The way we
do business - with so many different sources that
give us different margins - prevents us from
figuring a single monetary standard to earmark.
Never mind how we're supposed to choose where the
money should go!
Then we read in a local paper that School
Supplies 4 Students was started by Ryan
Siegel (shown above), a New Jersey sixth grader!
His idea was sparked by Mitzvah Day at his
temple. Some homeless families came to lunch with
congregation members. Ryan was shocked to
discover that disadvantaged children sometimes
have to do without basic necessities to get their
schoolwork done. He and his family soon
approached friends, neighbors and local
businesses to aid an ongoing collection drive.
New supplies are gathered for distribution
through the United Way.

With
this program, which will go on through the holiday
season and beyond, we know we can give immediate,
concrete help to remedy an ongoing problem we hear about
on the news often. School Supplies 4 Students is
one of those "it's about time" initiatives, and
we're glad to support it with help from our customers.
The more you buy from our list of tapes (just pick
from the picture links below), the more we get of school
supplies for Ryan's collection drive. We broke down a
list of one to eleven tapes and matched them with items
we would buy, but you don't have to limit yourself to
purchasing one apiece or a total of eleven tapes! As long
as you work from this master list of handpicked
children's tapes, we're flexible!
