A Surrealist Classic

Louis Feuillade's Les Vampires - The director improvised and shot each episode of this 10-part, seven hour serial in the back alleys of WWI era Paris. It was so true to life, the Parisian police banned it for a time, because it seemed to glamorize the world of organized crime! David Shepard oversaw the restoration of this elegantly packaged boxed set with color tinting, English intertitles, and an orchestral score compiled by Robert Israel.
