If you see both in this pair of films, on video from SYS International, it will be fairly obvious what caught on in the first story of young love redeemed: The hero's annoying little brother, a bald and portly preschooler with an attitude - and a martial arts teacher his age!
They were such a hit they were given a comedy fantasy film of their own, sort of a Three-Stooges-go-Buddhist escapade...

Were we stunned when we came across two little statues in a gift shop in Kearny! They had to be who we thought they were, so we decided to give them away to true fans of the Shao Lin Popeye series!
